Round 1
The League showed great courage to record a win on Saturday, losing Allan and Ivens in the Second quarter was a major blow, from half time our midfield rotations were severely limited. While the Eagles played well in the last quarter the final score wasn’t a true reflection of the game that the Roosters dominated for the first three quarters. Senior players in Ladhams, Younie, Alleway, Sporn and Motlop all played great games and new recruits Archard and O’Brien showed how important they will be this season. Tarquin Brown acquitted himself very well in his League Debut. Reserves Magarey Medallist Tim Delvins also staked a claim for a regular position in our backlines.

The Reserves played well from the outset to comfortably beat the Eagles. Matt Krieg, Marlon Motlop, Ryan Mallard, Ricky Ebert, Tony Armstrong and Todd Pfeiffer all played well underlining the depth of the Club.

Injuries from Weekend
Allan (League) – Hip – No structural damage and will be available to play R3
Ivens (League) – Ribs – Scans have revealed no fracture and will be available to play R3
Gallman (Reserves) – Spleen – Taken to hospital, but scan revealed no damage, and is expected to return R3.
Cheetham (Reserves) – Ankle – Sprained and should resume R3.
