| "I love North Adelaide FC,I want my ashes spread on the turf. Unlike many of you I never had the skill to play for North, but froze on the sidelines when the scoreboard gave spine chills.Jars has brought so much joy, and now we face some adversity its time to forget egos and ask Barrie, what North Adelaide means and who wore the numbers players wear today and remind them; they have the privilige to wear it and add to its dignity." |
| James | Club President
| "Not sure about your reference to adversity- sure we have not won as many games as we may have wanted, but are still well in the battle for the 2008 finals. The Club is currently fourth, performing well off field and is strategically well placed for the future - a far cry from the dark days of 2002 when our Club didn't have future." |

| "The game against PAFC highlighted a problem with the SANF/AFL relationship. We lost Damon White and Nathan Lonie while the PAFC picked up Jacob Surjan and Michael Wilson. It could be argued that this player movement had a major impact on the outcome of the game. What is being done to address this issue as it must affect all clubs in different ways and the competition ceases to be a level playing field?" |
| Colin | Club President
| "Thanks Colin, NAFC has sound working relationship with both AFL Clubs. What must be understood by all supporters is that the players are contracted to those Clubs who must have first call on their services with the player obviously wanting to play AFL football. We have received great service from the likes of Damon White, Ben Hudson , Nick Gill, Nathan Lonie and others when they have been available. It is not a problem for the Club – the system is not perfect but is the best available." |

This shows a total lack of respect to all of your volunteers and the players and officials should be reminded everyone involved in a uniform, being player, coach, medical staff, water boys and indeed the cheer leaders are part of the "team" and should not be treated so poorly. This has happened all season. The little ones in the reserves are treated the poorest. Either take a wide berth or stay out in the middle behind the girls until they have finished, its not that hard to think of others really.? " |

| The Coach | Bibster | "I am here to ask about Schubert again and ask has he bided his time this weekend will he be considered to play on the weekend. Noticed his absence from both league and ressies last weekend. I believe we could have used him on Saturday against Chambers, Schuby had him last time we played Sturt and I thought that day could have been a blow out if it wasn't for Schuby's contant pressure as I said in my last email I believe Schubert beat him man on man hence recieving players award and one of our best, nobody was able to come close last week end and Chambers beat us badly all day one on one. We need Schubert back up in the backlines. I still can't come to terms with your comment that he was playing as badly as you keep saying prior to being dropped, it must be time for him to be given his possie back so he can grab it with both hands but he can't do that if not given the opportunity. We need players like Schubert with in our team and he is by far not the worst with regards to performance prior to being dropped so please get him back up in the league to play in the backlines. As far as playing him forward I remember a game last year when he did play forward and kicked 3 goals. He I believe has proven himself over the last couple of seasons to be one of our versitile players already as he has been played forward, ruck and down back and on most occasions has done his job where ever he has played but he is one of our best backmen and that is where he plays his best footy and that is where we need him the most. | The Club | Tony | "Why the hell would our club change a game from Saturday against the Bays to get a better turnout from their supporters? What about the North supporters who now won't go and there are fair few that dislike Sundays (me included!). I would have to go back to the late 80's to recall an actual decent crowd of Glenelg fans attending a Prospect match. Plus the nafc info says it is to accomodate a team used to playing on Sundays and Mondays - What! Are we trying to assist the opposition now??? I bet the Bays wouldn't change one of their home games from a Sunday to accomodate a team that likes playing any other day of the week. How about looking after OUR supporters and not the opposition. A disgraceful decision based on what? Getting 50 more Glenelg fans to Prospect but driving away and alienating your own supporters. From Tony" |
| Tony | The Club
| "Thanks Tony, Understand your passion for Saturdays, may others do as well. In addition to the explanation on the web, we shall be using the day as a promotion for our Amateur League Clubs and Affiliated League Clubs from the country. SANFL crowd attendances this year point to a need to show some flexibility in programming away from Saturday afternoons as it does allow a wider potential market - this is not about Glenelg but about a match which could be promoted. Eight out of ten matches are at Prospect this year on a Saturday." |

Changing it to a Sunday means that the game will now clash with the Crows game (playing St Kilda in Melbourne) and this will have just as bad an effect on the crowd as I believe many more Crows supporters to be interested in North games rather than Port supporters. Why do you have to cater for the Port supporters? I know people may not go to the North game because they will want to see the Power play, but just as many people will not come because the Crows are playing. Thanks Brendan" |

I also wonder why he is playing up forward in the ressies and not down back. What are your plans for him as it is obvious that its not in the backlines. I think he is too good a player to be playing in the ressies and will be an important part of our finals team as he was last year as he was named in the best players in the grand final and certainly had an inpact throughout the finals series. He was also one that stood up against Sturt and again named in the best players even though having goals kicked on him but these were from the delivery of the ball and I thought as many others one on one he beat Chambers, will he back for the Sturt game in a couple of weeks. I am confused as to why he was dropped from the League side and now am confused as to why he isn't playing in the backlines even in the ressies can you help me out! Thanks Olivia" |

| "Olivia As we have mentioned before Shane is an important part of our squad, but by his own admission wasn't playing up to his standard and was struggling with his fitness. Shane has worked really hard on his fitness since being demoted losing over 5kg which is great work! As far as Shane playing forward we are trying to add another string to his bow, we are trying to make our senior sides as flexible as we can. | John | The Coach
| "John, Tim certainly has a future at North, he started so well in the pre season and played league early, he then by his own admission got away from doing what makes him a class player. | The Club | John | "I am an avid loyal rooster fan and love to regularly look at our web site in particular "Rooster TV". Last week I listened to James Moore interviewing Andrew Jarman. I thought his comments about the Stewart kid were true and was disappointed to see that at the Norwood game, the kid only got 20mins at full forward in the first qtr against a 5-goal breeze and for the rest of the game he was on and off the bench rucking. This seems to be total contradiction as to what was said in the interview. He is certainly a talented player with a lot of potential and as Jarman put "Will be a star". I was shocked to see the teams for this weekend that he had been dropped, even more interesting was that the interview on Rooster TV had been taken off. Talk about knock a kids confidence from under his feet. He hasn't been given a go from day one he stepped into the club. Only briefly used as a forward then as a second string ruckman and bench warmer. I have seen some of the great marks he has taken in his limited opportunities and if the kid is deemed not to be used as a forward in the league side, and I was that kid I would be looking elsewhere before the 30th June cut off. Were Andrew Jarman's comments incorrect, is that why it has been removed from the website? Give the kid a fair dinkum crack as a forward." |
| John | The Club | "John, Thanks for your thoughts, but what Andrew said, was what he meant. Daniel or "Snowy" as he is known around the place, will be something special, but having said that he by his own admission was struggling for a touch. Yes the Club has moved him around a lot and that would affect him, but in the end as Snowy knows you have to perform no matter where you play to retain your spot. Snowy is a 19yo kid with a great future ahead of him, with Daniel Wakelin back he will not be required to ruck so when he returns to the League he can play key forward. Snowy like Michael Wundke last year will have his ups and downs but look at Michael Wundke now (AFL Listed). Snowy will return to the league it just a matter of waiting for his opportunity!" |

| The Club | Bradley | "Greetings to all, Great response on the front page a the web site!! I dont think that any of the players or coaching staff are going out of their way to put in bad performances / results, however it may be worth looking at an overall picture.
I heard on the radio on Saturday, Glenn Elliott speak about the club. He said something very true.... " the competition is essentially a district competion". I think two questions need to be asked then.....
Why are we importing so many players? Why are we playing so many of the games on Saturday's?
My 2c worth....I have no emotional attachment to hired guns from other States/leagues, the feeling i get when home/district talent have a good passage of play or a good game is wonderful. I want to see guys like Pfieffer, Wright, McGahey and Delvins play more of a role in the senior team. These are guys we have watched grow, we know them, we have a history with them. I feel as though these guys are just filling in the holes sometimes.
The Club has been very strong earlier in the year about playing games on Saturday's. I can only speak for myself, but i cant go to the football on Saturday, many i know cant go on a Saturday. Playing a mixture of Friday, Saturday and Sunday would be my answer. I havent renewed my membership this year because I dont get a feeling of belonging anymore, There is nothing i want more than to watch my kids have a kick on prospect oval, but feel this has been taken away form me. I went to every game last year that wasnt on a Saturday, I have only been to the football twice this year, sadly not one of them has been at Prospect.
One word has come out of this for me.......... Belong
Thank you for the chance to have my say." |

| "Thanks Bradley- in answer to your queries :
Player balance is something which will be reviewed at the end of the year by the Football Department. We agree with your point about the young lads progressing through the grades, it is especially pleasing for rooster fans who have watched them over the years - let's hope more of them keep coming through. The challenge for any recruit is to adopt their new Club as their own and to show that to the fans.
Programming is difficult. We responded to member feedback in terms of Saturday afternoon footy, however, based on the current attendances this may have to be revisited. Your suggestion of a mixture of days appears to be the best way of attracting crowds." |

| The Coach | Brett | "Jars, I have noticed that O'hara will compete in the ruck, then basically walk around til the next bounce, then sprint to get to it. Hence his major workrate is only when the ball is effectively dead. By this I mean his stats around the ground cant be good if when the ball is in play you are only walking. Also against Glenelg their players played in front of the play taking a risk that paid off. One player loose in defence would help combat them doing that from the centre square and also close off that leading forward space the Glenelg forwards seemed to enjoy that our players could not. I think this can help nextime if they keep that style of play, providing when we get the ball our players work hard and run up the ground to provide many options." |
| Brett | The Coach
| "Brett, I like the way you have taken time and thought about your answer. Firstly I thought Bretty O was very good on Saturday, 52 Hit Outs in a game is excellent, what we have to do is give him some help, due to the fact he is our only recognised ruckman he is shouldering a lot of work, and considering the fact he had virtually no pre season due to injury, he is bit underdone. But it is coming, and hopefully soon either Wakelin and Down will be ready to step up and become our 2nd ruckman.
At CS Stoppages our players need to be in front, and if they are not they are not playing their role and letting their teammates down. GFC do always have one out the back like CDFC do, and we have to be aware of that! Jars" |

| The Coach | Meady | "Hi Jars, I've been disappointed that Greg Gallman hasn't been able to show his stuff to any extent this year. The Crows obviously have a very high regard for him in not only retaining him but elevating him from the rookie to the main list. I've read he has a big engine and is working to be an on-baller with the Crows. At 187cm he doesn't seem to fit any key position, where he has predominantly played in the Reserves. Do you see him fitting in to the League side as soon as he's back to full match fitness and, if so, in what role - running defender, on-baller, medium tall forward, or what? Cheers and all the best." |
| Meady | The Coach
| "Meadey, Greg Gallman as you called it, is a very talented footballer, one that I had in my Pre Season planning playing League every game this season. The problem has been his horrible run of injuries, poor Greg has not been able to complete even one game this season, which I am sure is hugely disappointing for both Greg and the Crows. | The Coach | Andrew | "G'day Jars. At the NAFC pre-season supporters night you I understood you to be saying that the area NAFC needed to improve this year is with its defensive game. You appeared to acknowledge that there are times that the game needs to be played defensively instead of being involved in a 'shootout'. As an unqualified person (purely a spectator) I felt that there have been several times this year when NAFC could have slowed down the opposition by playing defensive football. Once the game was slowed down NAFC could regroup and attack again (which it does well). I felt this during the last quarter against the Eagles and felt it again during the third quarter against the Tigers. Although I don't particularly like watching defensive football I think that there is a time that it is necessary. Am I right in my assessment?" |
| Andrew | The Coach
| "Andrew, As I realise every club has to be able to play defensive football at some stages during a game, and we have certainly worked on that. Having said that it is extremely hard in the SANFL or AFL to stop a run on, momentum is huge in every game. Look at Saturday for example I put Alleway back to stem the tide in the 3rd Quarter, but GFC were too efficient, the same could be said for us when we kicked 6 straight in the last, GFC found it hard to stop. I acknowledge we have to get better at this, and we will keep working on that! Jars" |

We have watched many of the games and he always presents well in the forward lines, he also is a very long kicker of the ball and can take a good grab and leads well, which is more than we have seen so far with the players starting in the forward lines." |
Leon | The Coach
| "Leon, Tarquin Brown can play at both ends, but as you are no doubt aware he has only played in defence for the past season, and that is where we see him best suited! He played very well in the first two games, but even by Tarquin's admission he has struggled in our last two games, we think a run in the ressies will get some of that confidence back! As far as playing up forward, with Alleway, Damon White and Daniel Stewart all playing as our three talls it makes it a bit difficult to find a key forward spot for him. Remember Tarquin is only young and has progressed so much since playing for Victor Harbour at the beginning of last year, so his future does look bright as far as NAFC is concerned! Jars" |

Shane, as he has been told probably hasn’t had the best of starts to the season, his fitness as he knows is a problem and yes his opposition players have had a lot of shots at goal on him (some are about delivery but some also are about Shane's positioning). Shane is a great young man who has an infectious persona about him, he is very popular member of our squad, but in the end we believe he needs to get to playing the type of football he is known for. Shane Schubert is an important member of our League squad, and he will, I have no doubt bounce back from this and become a better footballer. The Coach | Rick | "Hey jars, good luck for this week juat wanted to know when Nick Gill will be back playing same as David Clarke I really want to see you him a play again in Adelaide I dont want him to leave and I want his autograph" |
Rick
| The Coach | "Rick, Hopefully both Nick and David will return next week in the reserves against Glenelg! David is progressing very well and has joined in ball work this week, we however do not want to rush him so if he needs to wait until the Norwood game he will. Nick is guided by the Crows but they are confident he should return very soon! Jars" |

The Coach | Peter | "Talking to players and coaches from other clubs there is a perception the Roosters do not have a tough edge to their game and that they are downhill skiers who do not want to get their hands dirty. This was evident in last years GF and again against the Dogs last week where your boys were again intimidated. What are you doing to address this?" |
Peter | The Coach | "Peter, I certainly would not say we get intimidated by anyone, and that was proved by last weeks KPI's, we beat Centrals convincingly in both hard ball gets and tackles. The reason we lost was poor execution when it mattered and we are working on that. Having four finishers in Motlop, Ladhams, Clarke and Ward out of last weekends side didn’t help either! With Dean Howard leaving we did lose some grunt, but young Rory O'Brien has really stepped up in this department to be leading the Club in both tackles and hard ball gets. We work on game simulated exercises all week, and tackling skills are a part of our program, so while can always improve in this area, any Club that takes us on thinking we lack in the hardness area, will do so at their our peril. - Thanks for writing in! Jars" |

The Club | Neal | "Are there any meal deals available on match days at the Northern Tavern or Grand North for club members?" |
Neal
| The Club
| "Thanks for the enquiry. The Club has provided a meal service at Prospect both for lunch and immediately following presentations. Meals include schnitzels, fish and pasta and are all priced at $9.90. This service has been introduced for members on match days and concentrates activities at Prospect." |

The Coach | Mick | "I read that you thought that a couple of the boys didn't put in 100% on Friday against Centrals. How about giving Stribling and Delvins a crack, they always put it on the line. P.S. I reckon that Luke Ivens plays a lot harder when wearing his protective headgear. Keep up the good work. Nearly got those pesky dogs" |
Mick | Pete | "Mick, we will certainly have a look at a few boys who played well in the Reserves, but we wont over react either, our commitment was good on Friday it was our decision making that cost us at crucial times! " |

The Coach | Pete | "Watching Wade Thompson & Marlon Mottlop in the Ressies on Friday, they were both quite impressive. Will they be getting a run in the A's soon?" |
Pete | Terry | "Pete - Both Wade and Marlon will play League at some time this season, I have no doubt about that!. They are still both learning the game and have to be patient until their opportunity presents itself! The flair they have is quite exciting especially Wade's pace! " |

The Coach | Terry
| "Why cant Tim Delvins get a regular game in the league? and why keep playing Tarquin Brown in defence when he plays much better in the forward lines?" |
Terry | The Coach | "Terry - Tim Delvins certainly is a future League player, but as Tim knows he has to work on a few areas of his game that gets exposed when he plays at League Level. He is a really hard worker and I am sure he will refine those things and put himself up again for League selection. Tarquin I agree can play both ends, but his fine form since early last year has been in defence, so that is where we see him at the moment, that's not saying that as he gets more confident that he wont go down forward on occasions!" |

Alex J | Darryl Wintle
| "Enjoy the game and the friends you make. My advice would be to listen to your coaches and carry a football around with you everywhere and practice whenever you can. Also train the way you want to play. All the best and I am sure you would look great in a roosters Guernsey!" |

The future looks fantastic. Over the next 12 months you'll mature and team patterns will come as second nature. Well done Daniel!" |

I was following his form over the pre season and he seemed to have an excellent run in the trial matches, just wondering when we can expect to see him in the Reserves team. Also im abit dissapointed over the weekend result, but i believe the mighty Roosters can bounce back and Flog the Maggies. I'll be there Cheering the Team On. " |

I also liked the way Young Tapscott plays, his hard and tough at it! great to see him kick a bag for the juniors!" |

| "Luke Tapscott unfortunately has been injured for most of the Pre Season, he has however just returned and kicked 7 goals and 4 goals respectively in his last two Under 17's Games. He now returns to College and State commitments for the next 8 Weeks or so, but he will certainly push for selection in the Reserves when he returns! Duane Schultz has now been moved on from the Club, due to limited opportunities for him to play Reserves. We wish him well in his future!" |

Simmo
| The Club
| "Sam Walton had an injury interrupted pre season so is playing with his Local Club when he is not picked for the Reserves. Kriston Thompson is progressing very well after a horrible 2007 with groin problems, he played U19's on the weekend and will push for Reserves spot in the coming weeks! Paul Campbell injured his ankle and hasn’t played of late, he will be involved in the NT State program over the next few weeks.Phil Davis has college commitments, but is available this week! Luke Tapscott has also had ankle injuries, but kicked 7 on the weekend in our U17's." |

| Chris
| "Jars firstly thanks for all your hard work but, you can't go on TV telling the AFL coaches not to play injured players and then play several of our players underdone against Sturt yourself. Clearly even with rotations they were underdone. With all that talent in the ressies and some raw youth maybe that might have helped against Sturt. Shannon Motlop will be a far superior player playing with Charlie and Marlon in the team as well, remember the chemistry created with Matty Campbell and Jason Roe it takes the team to a new level." |
Chris
| The Coach
| "Thanks for the input, the beauty of football is everybody has different opinions. Were some of our players underdone? maybe, but players of the calibre of Ward and Wintle have to go straight in the side, they are all class. I am sure the team as a whole will continue to improve, and we look forward to the Port game. I have been really happy with Shannon's games so far, he is really leading from the front. Charlie and Marlon are highly talented players but we must remember are only 17, and will take time to develop, but I have no doubt they will play League with Shannon at a later date!" |

| The Club | Locky | "What is the clubs attitude to getting another side in the SANFL so we can get rid of the bye, surely we want to see footy played by our side every week in the season that we can and would the club vote for the tenth side to be included" |
| Locky | The Club
| "North Adelaide has given in principle support for the inclusion of a Northern Territory team as early as 2009. The SANFL is currently assessing that opportunity with a decision expected by June of this year. The bye disrupts continuity once a season commences. Our season is a case in point - last practice match on the Thursday before Easter, Easter off, first match, bye then the Sturt game." |
