Barrie Robran Biography

After seven years research and writing the long-awaited biography of North Adelaide’s greatest player and S.A.’s only Legend, is being published.  The book presents the whole story of Barrie’s life in Whyalla and Adelaide, all of his sporting endeavours, careers and achievements (football, cricket and basketball), schooling, family life and the background to how he became such a great player and wonderful role model, his struggles and devotions, tragedies and loves. 

This huge book contains many unique features.

The book is ‘unauthorised’ because of Barrie’s humility and desire not to be perceived as promoting himself or seeking the limelight – characteristics of his nature which are held up in the book as examples to others. 

The Adelaide book launch was held at 10.10am on 10 October 2010.
