Hi Clint,
Are you disappointed to not being captain of this great club for the upcoming year? I'm sure Jimmy will do a great job but just wondering your thoughts. Was it yours or the clubs decision? WIshing you all the best for the upcoming year and look forward to seeing you back where you belong this year at CHF taking screamers and kicking bags of goals.
Clint Alleway
Hi Scott,

It was a real unexpected privilege to captain North Adelaide last year and I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. This pre season has presented a number of other challenges having had multiple post season surgeries and although I am anticipating being ready for round 1, it has been helpful to me not having the added responsibility of leading a group into what is shaping as an exciting year for the club. James Allan has been a fantastic leader throughout his time at North having not missed a beat all pre season and certainly deserves the opportunity as Captain. The appointments of James Bennett and Greg Gallmen as Vice Captains certainly rounds off what is a quality group of hard working young men. I am as excited as ever to play this year and have been assured by Josh that he wants me up forward, team balance permitting, as much as I want to play there. As for Screamers and bags of goals, only time will tell but with Gilly's boney limbs far enough away not to spoil my takeoff, I may just get an extra attempt or 2.

Thanks for your support,

Clinton Alleway

Can I ask why NAFC signed Craig Jamar? Being a student at the school he teachs at it has become a cloudy issue for me, because he doesn't seem like the type of character the club would want. Can you clarify the reasons surrounding his signing?
CEO
Craig Jamar is an outstanding character and has had an excellent preseason. He was recruited because he is a good ruckman for his size and at 194cms, has the capability of playing in a key position. Craig can offer the flexibility that many others cant.

I noticed Sam Haniford is no longer on the list where the numbers have been allotted. Has he left the club? Andrew McIntyre's number 35 has been left vacant. Is there a hope he may return sometime during the season? Has Clint Alleway reumed training? Is he likely to be available for the first game?
Football Operations
Sam Haniford has left the club and will play for Nuriootpa this season because of increased work commitments in the country area. The club has stayed in contact with Andrew McIntyre. He has just started a new job which has long time commitments. Hopefully down the track he can manage his time to include SANFL football. Clint Alleway is progressing through his running program and has recently joined in with modified ball work. With no minor setbacks Clint is tracking to be available for the start of the season.

Surely after repeated complaints year after year the Club would look at fixing the Time Clock!! We the general supporter in the outer accept that you cannot always see it from every vantage point but here are a couple of solutions:
- If it was more centrally located on the Scoreboard Hill e.g. Alongside of or on top of the Scoreboard it would be more visible by 90 percent of the spectators.
- Double the size of the current digital clock and don't have have red illumination on a black background which faces directly into the sun!
- Go back to the old clock face style of clock.
- Put a second clock on the Grandstand Side - above the old Press Box?
I find it incredible that despite having Mistral / Gerard Industries as a Major Sponsor that we are left with the poor time clock we currently have when Mistral / Gerard Industries would have some very good solutions?
Administration
Much work was done last year on investigating ways to improve the time clock and at the time, it was deemed an expensive exercise to move and or upgrade it. We are again meeting with a contractor shortly to look at other options which hopefully will be more attractive. In any case it is seen as an issue to be improved and we will see what is available at what cost and when.

Can you advise members what upgrades will be done to Prospect oval before the season starts? The time clock for example is next to useless unless you are sitting in the members stand and the toliets at the southern end are sub standard.
CEO
The southern toilet has been discussed with the council to ensure it is fully functioning and hygienic, ready for the new season. The time clock will not be changing location, although we are discussing the issue of glare on the time clock with the supplier, to see if we can reduce the glare and make for easier reading. Unfortunately, the time clock, as is the case in some other grounds, is not easily seen from every part of the oval, especially the southern end near the toilets, but if we can make it clearer it should improve the view. We are also working on having a new canteen facility ready for round one, at the northern end near elevated box (above the BBQ area). Hopefully this will also have a beer booth next to it. Due to the likelihood of more works being done at Prospect Oval should the RSL/Cricket Club project get the nod by council, the new canteen may be a temporary structure, but nonetheless, we will have something to serve our supporters at that end of the oval. We are also discussing having a Red Rooster van on site at the southern end, however this isn't confirmed as yet.

The Senior Player list on the current website looks a bit out of date. Any chance this will be updated soon? I've read a few reports in the press about some of the recruits but it would be good to get to know the stable group from which we can expect a successful 2012.
Administration
Hi Jeff
The Player profile pictures are being taken tonight at training, so expect to see both an updated website and player pages soon.
Thanks
Tony
I understand a couple of recruits announced last year (Baulderstone and Boxer) have left and also is Callum Hay off to Centrals?

Also can you confirm if our recruiting has finished for 2012?
Football Operations
Sam Baulderstone has decided to depart and go back to his country club Mount Compass, after losing 20kgs in 2 months of training. This is disappointing, but always a risk as training intensified. John Boxer has been moved on and Callum Hay has decided he doesn’t want to play for NAFC in 2012 for his own reasons (which we still do not understand the reasons why). Callum may end up at an SANFL club, or the amateur league

Can you tell us where the boys will be training over the next several weeks so we can have a look at them? Go Cocks.
Football Operations
Please find preseason training times under http://nafc.com.au/news/p3494.aspx
Peter
I've just viewed the interview with James Allan on Rooster TV. Greg mentioned some younger players had left for cricket or amateurs. Can you list them please and advise all of the "outs" from last years senior list.

Cheers
