Archard And Chaplain Late Withdrawals
No prizes for knowing who Archard is and how crucial losing him to a hamstring injury was to North Adelaide when it tackled Sturt at Unley on Saturday. You would be forgiven however for thinking out loud, "who is Chaplain?" It is I, your intrepid Match Reporter. For the first time in 5 seasons I was unable to report on "Our Mighty Roosters". The rain is a godsend for our farmers and our bone dry city gardens, but it did me no favours on Saturday. I couldn't get out my front door, let alone to Unley Oval! If I somehow got there, I would've been washed past the café's of Unley Road in a curious mix of Cappucino and Rain Water!
I was reduced to " channel surfing" on my T.V. between the televised S.A.N.F.L and A.F.L. games. A poor substitute for watching North Adelaide in the flesh! My only consolation for the day was getting the welcome news that Our Mighty Roosters held on to beat Sturt by 3 points! Rhys Archard will be out for 3 weeks. On the plus side though, Coach Healy will rush me back into the side to report on next week's proceedings against The Eagles at Prospect!

P.S.- I was saddened to hear about the premature death of Mike Parsons.
"Bristles" provided me with some fond memories. None better than his B.O.G. performance in The 1987 Grand Final. I will never forget him "dancing-a-jig" on the half-forward flank at Football Park after sending his 5th Sausage Roll sailing through The Big White Sticks!
