Another Rooster Left-footer

Remembered this morning another Rooster left-footer whose name I overlooked in my previous two postings under this heading.

And what an oversight... 1960 Premiership player, Billy {Cheeky Charlie} Thomas was a most important recruit to our Club back then and played a very significant role in our Grand Final win that season. Our Club defeated Norwood in the 1960 Grand Final by 14 goals 11 behinds {95} to 13 goals 12 behinds {90}.

Best on ground that day was Rooster rover, Barry Potts {kicking 7 goals 1 behind}, other goalkickers for the Roosters were {Sir} Don Lindner, Malcolm Whitford, Ray Trenorden, Billy Thomas, Barrie Barbary, Trevor Hughes and Barry Kent each one goal.
